Join us on a fantastic diving trip and liveaboard to the Philippines and Tubbataha Reef in spring 2028. Imagine waking up in the middle of the Sulu Sea, where the horizon is endless and the first rays of the day sparkle over the waves. A liveaboard to the Philippines and Tubbataha Reef is more than just diving. It’s a holistic experience that combines adventure, nature and a sense of freedom. Here you get the chance to dive in places that only a few people in the world ever visit, because the reef is so isolated and only open for a short season from March to June.

Every dive is like stepping into a new world. You can soar along dramatic walls that plunge into the depths, swim through colorful coral gardens and encounter the giants of the sea. What about manta rays, sharks and turtles that share the reef with thousands of small fish. It is a place where nature still feels untouched. A place where every moment below the surface becomes a reminder of the richness and beauty of the sea.

Liveaboard a matter of course

Traveling by liveaboard makes the experience even more special and absolutely necessary. This marine park protected area is so far out to sea that you can't get there any other way. This makes these trips even more special and sought after.
Between dives, you can relax on deck, enjoy delicious food and share the day's impressions with like-minded travelers. The evenings often offer starry skies and a sense of tranquility that is difficult to find anywhere else. It is a trip where the community on board becomes as memorable as the encounters below the surface.

For those seeking inspiration, Tubbataha Reef is a reminder of why we travel. You travel to discover the unique, to feel small in the face of nature's grandeur, and to create memories that last a lifetime. It's a journey that not only provides amazing dives, but also a sense of having been part of something truly extraordinary.

Tubbataha Reef offers some of the world's most spectacular diving experiences, with dramatic wall dives, colourful coral gardens and an abundance of marine life. Everything from manta rays, eagle rays and stingrays to various species of sharks are often seen here. Hammerhead sharks, thresher sharks, zebra sharks, whale sharks, nurse sharks, reef sharks and such unusual species as guitar sharks and sawfish are sometimes seen here. There are also turtles and schools of tuna and barracuda. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and can only be reached via liveaboard during a short season between March and June.

Some famous dive sites at Tubbataha
  • North Atoll: Known for its steep drop-offs and large pelagic species, here you can often see grey reef sharks, whitetip sharks and sometimes hammerheads.
  • South Atoll: Offers spectacular coral formations and a multitude of small fish. Perfect for photographers who want to capture color and movement.
  • Jessie Beazley Reef: Smaller but just as impressive, with crystal clear water and corals in top condition.

Tubbataha is home to almost 90% of all coral species found in the Philippines, making it one of the most species-rich places in the entire Coral Triangle. Here you will find sdry fields of staghorn and table corals that create complex structures where fish and invertebrates find shelter. The isolated location, short season and strict protection have allowed the ecosystem to develop almost completely undisturbed. Many consider Tubbataha Reef to be one of the world's top five dive sites for marine life. except large animals are also found here, an exciting and impressive macrolife. Nudibranchs, pygmy seahorses and a multitude of crustaceans and echinoderms add color to the reefs and the number of invertebrates can seem almost endless. The combination of spectacular encounters with pelagic species and the colorful diversity of the coral gardens makes every dive here at Tubbataha Reef feel unique. Many describe a feeling of being in an underwater paradise that few ever get the chance to experience.
