Join us for a sparkling Komodo in Indonesia with Bent Christensen over Easter 2027. An incredible diving trip where you combine accommodation at a resort and liveaboard. Komodo in Indonesia offers an enormous diversity of marine life and dive sites and is one of the world's most talked-about diving destinations. Here in the national park you have lots of small islands spread over a large area. Water flows from the Pacific Ocean to the Indian Ocean constantly in the strait that forms between the islands and supplies the area with a lot of nutrients. Komodo is both a land and marine national park so it is not allowed to stay here. There are therefore no resorts within the park area itself.
There is the option to stay nearby outside the park boundary and still be able to enjoy the fantastic marine life. Alternatively, you can go on a live boardThis trip combines both variants and you can experience manta rays, eagle rays, sharks and tuna – and sometimes even whales and whale shark. There is also a fabulously exciting and fascinating macrolife here. You can see different sizes and species of seahorses, octopuses, strange ghost pipefish and frogfish. It is also teeming with different types of crustaceans, small species of blennies and gobies – and lots of beautiful nudibranchs.
To this “fish and animal soup” you add fabulously beautiful corals, gorgonians and sponges that give the reefs a dynamism and experiences that are very difficult to find an equivalent to anywhere in the world. In addition to the incredible diving, you also experience the world above the surface. Here on a small number of islands you will meet real “dragons”. The Komodo dragons, the world’s largest land-dwelling lizard, are only found here on a few islands and are both an exciting and strange experience to see.

Komodo is a destination characterized by incredible biodiversity. Here you can expect encounters with pelagic species such as manta rays, eagle rays, sharks, tuna and sometimes whale sharks, whales and with luck even larger shark species such as hammerhead sharks and thresher sharks and more. There is a wealth of fascinating macro life to watch here. Different types of seahorses, ghost pipe fish, frogfish, nudibranchs and blue-ringed octopus to name a few. In Komodo's waters, nutrient-rich temperate ocean currents contribute to a fantastic biodiversity. You dive on iridescent shallow reefs and on steep walls patrolled by fish from the top of the food chain.
Komodo is a truly unique area located in Nusa Tenggara province. The area offers a wide range of incredible current diving, unspoiled coral reefs with soft and hard corals, as well as fascinating little creatures that have the ability to camouflage themselves to blend in with their surroundings.
Komodo has been classified as a World Heritage Site and a “UNESCO Man and Biosphere Reserve”, which becomes obvious once you are there. The dive sites here are incredibly addictive!
Here at Komodo, you can also meet the awe-inspiring Komodo Dragon. It is not for nothing that Komodo is also called the "kingdom of dragons". The Komodo dragon can be over 3 meters long and weigh as much as a fully grown man. This is an encounter that gives at least as much tingle in the stomach as meeting a bull shark under the surface!
Before you get to Komodo and Flores you will have an overnight stay in Bali. We have chosen a good hotel near the airport. Once on Flores the transfer goes to Scuba Junkie Resort where you have and 3 dives per day. After the resort you will change to a liveaboard and it will take you on a real adventure. Full board is included in both places and after all the diving you finish with a night in Labuan Bajo before returning home.
