Tubbataha Safari

Tubbataha Safari

A liveaboard to Tubbataha reefs and a safari is a fantastic diving trip. This is considered by many to be one of the best diving destinations in the world. The reefs here and the diving are essentially vertical walls rising from the depths of the ocean. The shallow reefs that have formed on top of the seamounts are home to the local fish life. Larger species such as stingrays, marble rays and reef sharks are common to see. Among the beautiful fish species you have angelfish, emperor fish, butterfly fish, rainbow runners, moorish idols, fusiliers, jacks, anthias, snappers and sweetlips. Here you have a rich marine life that follows you as you swim on these amazing reefs.

At several of the dive sites you can also see large trevally, tuna, barracuda and grey and whitetip reef sharks. Larger species such as manta rays, auricularia, whale sharks, hammerhead sharks, thresher sharks and, in rare cases, zebra sharks, guitar sharks and tiger sharks are transient visitors. Various species of turtles frequently visit the national park. Tubbataha reefs is a truly fantastic dive site for a safari. The reefs are popular and only available a few months a year. Book well in advance if you want to go here. The few liveaboards that offer diving and safaris to Tubbataha are often full up to a couple of years in advance. Many who have been here say that it is one of the best dive sites in the world.
