You can do a liveaboard in Komodo in two different ways. Either go with your liveaboard directly from Bali and to Komodo and then back. Then you also dive on the way there and home. Alternatively, you fly to the island of Flores and your liveaboard starts from here. If you go from Bali, you avoid the domestic flight and you don't have to think about the time between the diving and your flight. If you fly to Flores, you get a little more diving Komodo National park as it is closer. On the other hand, you must have an extra overnight stay in Flores to secure the time between diving and your flight.
The corals and underwater gardens at Kalimaya Dive Resort are fantastic. Here you can take your time to discover the sloping reefs, walls, reef pinnacles and caves that are nearby. Enjoy the animal and plant life in these “underwater jungles”. Be prepared to be amazed by some of the world's most thriving corals and the beautiful fish and turtles that inhabit these reefs. Kalimaya Canyon, Roger's Reef, Easter Island and J's Dream are highlights for this type of diving. Komodo Resort is an option where you are closer to the marine park but also closer to more boats and tourists. Fantastic reefs and exciting nature
