What is a Scuba Girls trip – and is it for you? (Spoiler: yes, it is)
My name is Hanna, is an avid diver and works at Scuba Travel. Over the years I have been on many diving trips and met women from all over the Nordics who share a common feeling – that it can sometimes be difficult to find your place in the diving world. Maybe you are new, maybe you have had a break, maybe you lack a dive buddy to travel with. Scuba Girls exists to change that.
What is a Scuba Girls trip?
It's a diving trip for women at all levels, where the focus is on community, experiences and having fun together – both in the water and on land.
We want to lower the thresholds for daring to go on a diving trip, regardless of whether you:
- snorkel but are curious to start diving,
- want to get your diving certificate during the trip,
- have a diving certificate but haven't dived in a long time,
- or are you an experienced diver who wants to find a new context.
You need not having a dive buddy to go – on the contrary, many travel alone. But no one stays alone for very long. Here you will find new diving buddies, new friends and a group to laugh and share experiences with.
What do we do during the trip?
Of course we dive – but the trip is more than just diving. We explore the place we travel to through fun activities, good food, local experiences and relaxed hanging out.
The idea is that you should get as much out of life above the surface as below it.
And while you relax, a Scuba Travel representative will make sure everything runs smoothly – so you don't have to worry about logistics and can just focus on having a great time.
Who is the trip suitable for?
In short: you who are a woman and like the sea. It doesn't matter if you have never dived before or have full control of your equipment. The important thing is that you are curious, open and eager to share an experience with other like-minded people.
Why only women?
Because we want to create a safe and encouraging environment where you dare to ask questions, try new things and develop - without prestige.
We know that something special happens when women dive together. It's relaxed, supportive and a lot of fun.
