At the bottom of southern Egypt, almost on the border with Sudan, is Wadi Lahami. Wadi Lahami is a lovely eco lodge and perfect for a diving trip to Egypt. If you want to focus on just diving and relaxation, you have a wonderful place here. There are three different forms of accommodation, some of which are simple with accommodation in tents directly by the beach to the mighty The red sea. There are also royal tents and for those looking for more comfortable accommodation with air conditioning, there are several so-called deluxe chalets.

The lodge has a common dining room and it also offers on-site massages and various opportunities for excursions on land. A one-day visit to Wadi Gemal National Park is almost a must when you're here. You can also visit fantastic Luxor and the Valley of the Kings or for those who like bird watching you will find a little paradise. The price of your dive sale includes full board and free diving from land including tanks, weights and weight belt.

Three different accommodations are offered:
  • Tent - located on the beach 3,5, X 3,5 m
  • Royal Tents – These tents are almost twice the size of regular tents
  • Delux chalet – 24 m2 large stone house with rounded roof.

The diving is done directly from land and you can dive as much as you want. You can also dive from a boat for an additional fee. The area is divided into different zones depending on the distance from the resort, and you book and pay for these boat dives directly on the spot.

Diving at Wadi Lahami Eco Lodge

The house reef at Wadi Lahami is incredibly rich in marine life and you will find healthy and thriving corals in the area. The area around Fury Shoals has also been a protected area for many years. The reefs are frequented by large pelagic animals such as dolphins and manta rays. Sometimes also whale sharks, manta rays, hammerhead sharks and other larger species. The advantage is that you can dive as much as you want from land. The house reef starts directly at the beach and you will find lots of fun to watch or photograph and film. For those who snorkel, the reef is already full of life below the surface before it drips down to the far end.

Around Fury Shoals, you have a good chance of seeing and diving with slightly larger animals. If you're lucky, you can see both dolphins, dugongs (manatees) and large ones sea ​​turtles. If you take a boat trip to Shaab Maksour, which is quite similar but less famous than Elpinstone, you may also have a chance to see several species of shark.

Experience dolphins

Here you will also find Satayah which is known by the name Dolphin Reef. There you have good chances to see, dive with and snorkel with dolphins. Shaab Maksour has powerful drop-offs on both the west and east walls. The walls are covered in beautiful hard and soft corals and teem with marine life. Along the reef, different sharks are often seen, of which the white shark and hammerhead shark are perhaps the most spectacular. Also manta rays, whale sharks, thresher sharks and other pelagic creatures are sometimes seen here. Sometimes passes liveaboard directly off the coast to also experience diving at the best sites in southern Egypt so it's really good diving into the knot.
