The diving in Komodo National Park is top notch. There is everything from abundant macro life to megafauna. In short, there is something for all levels of diver. The park is home to over 1,000 identified manta rays and these amazing animals can be seen all year round. Here you will experience healthy colorful coral reefs, schools of fish, reef sharks, rays and even the occasional dugong, other shark species and dolphins.
If big animals aren't your thing, no worries! The park is home to sought-after macro species such as hairy shrimp, frogfish, nudibranchs, and blueringed octopus and wonderpus. A dream destination for macro photographers, too.
Komodo can have strong or very strong currents in some dive areas. But they are what attract the large amount of marine life and make the diving so spectacular. Scuba Junkies guides plan the dives so that you can drift with the current so that you don't have to kick and struggle too much. The dives are always adjusted to experience level, tides and currents to ensure everyone has as much fun and safety as possible. The groups are never larger than 4 people per guide and are put together according to certification and experience level.
Scuba Junkie is passionate about protecting the ocean. Their guides dive in a way that minimizes impact on nature and always provide tips on how you can integrate with marine life in a respectful way.
The days are spent out in the park aboard one of Scuba Junkie's boats. Breakfast is served on board while you make your way to the first dive site of the day, lunch after your second dive and then you do an afternoon dive before the boat returns to the resort.
