Nunukan Island Tripst

Nunukan Island Tripst is located off the coast of Borneo. Here beautifully located in the middle of the sea just south of Maratua atoll. Here you will find Nunukan Island. A small paradisiacal island with good diving, snorkelling, peace and quiet, good and plenty of food and far from most things. A wonderful diving week or two awaits you and why not combine with a week on Nabucco Island in the same atoll but with a completely different type of diving. 10 or 20 dives are pre-booked in your packages and you can book more diving on site. Boat trips to nearby islands and reefs can be booked on site. Why not take a trip to the magical Jellyfish lake on the island of Kakaban. A very different place and surreal experience.

Nunukan Island Tripst was built in 2008 and is located in the southern Maratua atoll, right on the outer part of the reef. Outside the jetty stretches a long house reef teeming with macro life. On one side of Nunukan, where the Tripst's restaurant is located, there is wide open sea which means you get a fantastic expansive view. The Tripst's bungalows are on the other side of the island, the side facing the lagoon.

Coconut crabs, turtles and monitor lizards

The island of Nunukan is slightly larger than Nabucco and here, too, monitor lizards and coconut crabs thrive. Here you can experience extremely beautiful sunsets and a walk along the beach is recommended. Perhaps you will be joined by a turtle or moray eels that you can see hunting during the walk.

All of the Tripst's 22 bungalows are located along the white sandy beach and are equipped with air conditioning, mosquito nets, minibar, safety box, hot water shower, toilet and a veranda with a large sun bed. These rooms are slightly larger than Nabucco and a bit more modern since the Tripst is newer.
