Unique diving trip and expedition to Bikini or Bikini Atoll in the summer of 2025. Take the chance to experience how life has returned to the marine world and be part of it. Deep Sea Production documents the reefs of the Pacific Ocean in a completely unique film project that has never been done before. Join the film crew and scientists who are on this expedition and have an experience that will never come again.

In 2025, the world's largest underwater film format will be produced by the Swedish production company Deep Sea Production, which will result in an IMAX film. Deep Sea Production is known for productions such as:
The universe of fishes, Empty sea, The secret life of the seal, Photographer seeks Walross (Chaising Walrus) and Power over the sea and more.

Previously, three productions that will premiere between 2025 and 2030 have been made there where environmental impact and marine intelligence are two main themes. In addition to Bikini Atoll, there are therefore ongoing projects and trips to South Africa, Raja Ampat where we at Scuba Travel are involved and contribute in different ways as well.

In connection with the production on Bikini Atoll, we have chartered a liveaboard where you have the opportunity to join us. The number of places is limited and this is a trip that will never be repeated on this scale or in this format.
Not even with the same conditions as the trip does not have the same demands on you as a diver.

In addition to the filming team, there will be researchers on board, which means you will be able to learn more than ever about everything related to marine life in the area.
Normally in Bikini the focus is entirely on wrecks which will be dived in one or two days. However, this dive trip is entirely made to document the recovery of marine life from the 1940s-50s blasts here and to dive in completely unvisited places.

More than unique – a diving trip that will never be done again

During this very unique trip, we will, among other things, do:

1-2 days of wreck diving.
Diving at shark pass.
Diving and research on coral reefs including visits to places never seen or visited before.

This is a "once in a lifetime" trip that is not for everyone, but if it is for you, take the chance! The requirements for going to Bikini Atoll on a liveaboard are always very high and require several different technical training courses.
On this trip we have negotiated a unique opportunity where you who can show at least 100 logged dives, preferably more, and have a minimum of PADI Advanced Open Water, preferably Rescue, can join us, which is completely unique.

Experience - Join us on a unique one Diving trip to Bikini or Bikini Atoll located in the remote Republic of the Marshall Islands near Micronesia. This is one of the most famous and spectacular places in the world for wreck diving. After World War II, the United States gathered a decommissioned and worn-out fleet to test the effects of various atomic bombs on warships. Between 1946 and 1958, the United States tested 67 atomic bombs on Bikini Atoll. Most notably during “Operation Crossroads”.

The focus of this trip is entirely on nature and coral reefs, although one to two days will be spent diving on wrecks.
Research, filming and documentation of marine life and reefs where you follow the film crew and the scientists involved is the focus of the trip. Something that makes this trip completely unique and will never be done the same way.

If you do not have technical training, you will only be able to visit the upper parts of these wrecks that are visited, but this is otherwise a completely unique opportunity to get to this very remote, difficult-to-access place for those of you who like diving and expeditions.
Without more advanced training you won't normally get here. This is a unique opportunity and journey that we can offer two people to experience.

More than wreck diving – experience how nature recovers

World-class wreck diving, BUT! – On the trip you will dive and experience a little of all the wrecks buried here in Bikini. Read more about the wreck here for those who want more info..
Please note! – This trip is focused on the film crew and the research, the wrecks are not the primary focus. There may be changes to the trip, dive sites may change and there is no real schedule for the days. The goal is to film, document and discover how nature is doing and has recovered and possibly developed and changed. Take the chance to go on this very special trip to the Marshall Islands. You will get to dive on reefs and experience how nature has recovered in places that no one has seen before.

Few have had the opportunity to dive here and in addition to the wrecks there is also plenty of coral and large fish. For those who are trained for deeper dives and have good experience, it is perhaps the world's most sought-after liveaboard trip, but this particular trip is completely unique and will never happen again as the wrecks are not the focus.

Your accommodation – On board the Pacific Master you live comfortably and of course have full board during your entire stay on board. On the way to the liveaboard you will need some overnight stays to match your flights and also on the journey home you will have a night in Hawaii, Honolulu. You can read more about your accommodation and stay on board Pacific Master here.

Bikini Atoll

Almost 75 years after Operation Crossroads, the nuclear ghost fleet (as these wrecks are called) rests in crystal blue waters that have since become home to a rich marine life with thriving reefs and corals. Bikina Atoll has only been open to diving since 1996, making this destination a unique combination of spectacular historic wrecks in a remote and otherwise untouched tropical paradise.

As the Bikini wrecks lie at depths exceeding recognized recreational no-decompression limits, they are only suitable for those who are trained for greater depths. An optional shore excursion to Bikini Island and a BBQ on the beach will be offered one day if time and planning permit.

The travel time between Ebeye Island and Bikini Atoll is 23-34 hours depending on conditions, weather and wind.
Marine park and port fees and local taxes totaling $500 USD will be added on site.
